Amberly Reinertsen Executive Director and Certified Dementia Practitioner, brings over 15 years of experience in the aging field, specifically in areas of Housing, Community Relations, Mental Health, and Dementia care. Certified in Teepa Snow’s: Positive Approach to Care dementia training.

Prior to working at Aging Advocates CNY, Amberly worked at both Loretto Healthcare and Emeritus Senior living as Admissions and Community Relations Director. Throughout her career, Amberly has worked closely with elders and their families, medical professionals, and legal advocates to find appropriate placement. She has extensive knowledge in Senior housing communities and the various levels of care they provide. Amberly is dedicated in supporting older adults to remain in their preferred environment.

Amberly has personally experienced decision making with elderly family members and has been on the other side of the phone call. She understands the importance of dedication to your needs, understanding of your unique situation, and the importance of person-centered care.

 Amberly’s compassion for older adults, professional experience, and resourcefulness are her best contributions to Aging Advocates CNY and their clients. Amberly serves as a strong advocate for families, helping them navigate the human service and healthcare arenas and providing professional guidance during what can be very emotional and challenging situations.

Amberly was born and raised in Central New York. She graduated from Oneida High School and went on to nursing school at OCM Boces. She is currently pursuing her Bachelors in Healthcare Administration. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and 2 children.
